Howdy. My name is Jalynn Urbanosky being raised here in Burleson County as the 17 year old daughter of Jason and Joni Urbanosky of Lyons, with an older brother Joshua and younger sister Jolie. This upcoming fall I will be a senior at Somerville High School where I also enjoy participating in Softball and Volleyball. Being born profoundly deaf has been a challenge but having been blessed to be able to hear with the help of cochlear implants, I learned that dealing with a disability from a very young age has helped me to learn so much and how to be able to help others grow from whatever situation they are faced with and never let anything limit your capabilities.
Growing up around the ranching industry I have enjoyed showing market steers, market hogs, breeding heifers and commercial heifers at the county as well as the state level. I am also apart of the Burleson County Livestock Judging and Somerville FFA livestock judging team. I have enjoyed participating in numerous baked goods and creative living events at the Burleson County Fair. Participating in these events have helped me to grow as a person and become more involved in organizations such as becoming an Officer of Somerville FFA, President of Frenstat 4-H, Secretary of Burleson County Livestock Judging Club, a Director of Texas Junior Angus Association, Member of the Texas Santa Gertrudis Association as well as the Texas Junior Charolais Association. All of these organizations have helped me grow as an individual and learn so much about agriculture, leadership and educating others. I believe having the experience and knowledge that these programs have helped provided me with will help me be a great candidate for 2023 Burleson County Fair Queen. I would appreciate your support and look forward to this year’s fair!
