RULES:

1. Lamb meetings will be held during the year. All exhibitors must make Thursday, March 19, 2026, or Thursday, April 9, 2026, meeting at the EXPO Center. A parent, guardian or exhibitor must be present at one of the two (2) mandatory meetings.

2. A maximum of 4 lambs may be tagged and no individual will be allowed to exhibit more than two market lambs at the show. Family entries will be permitted.

3. All lambs must weigh a minimum of 90 pounds at the Fair. There will be a three (3) pound tolerance allowed on the minimum weight. Although there is not a maximum weight limit for lambs, the judge will select lambs for placing, based on the size demand by packers and consumers.

4. All lambs will be weighed in and sifted. If weighed out, the lamb will be allowed one (1) more immediate weigh by the lamb committee and sifter on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

5. Weight classes will be determined by the number of lambs checked-in, not to exceed four classes.

6. Wethers or ewe lambs may be exhibited.

7. Market lambs will be judged Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:30a.m.

8. All market lambs must be slick shorn from knee & hocks up prior to entering the fairgrounds.

9. No chain or spiked collar allowed in the show ring. A rope halter under 12” is allowed.

10. No market animals will be allowed to be clipped or sheared on fairgrounds. No blow dryer devices of any type, (electric, battery, or rechargeable) to be used on market animals.

11. No change of color pattern of the market animals by powder, adhesives, painting, or dying will be allowed.

12. Premium money will be awarded for 1st through 6th place.

13. All entries must be entered online by 7:00p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at burleson.fairwire.com . Market lambs will be tagged in on Thursday, June 11, 2026, between 5:30-7:00p.m. at the Burleson County Fairgrounds. a. Entries will be paid at tag in

14. Ownership and ear tag numbers must be submitted to the committee chairman prior to the lamb weigh-in and sifting.

15. Exhibitors must control lambs at time of showing. It is up to the discretion of the judge or chairman to remove uncontrollable animals from the show ring.

16. Sifted lambs must be removed by 10:00p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

17. Bedding allowed, but must be cleaned out and all tack and supplies must be removed by Sunday at 10:30a.m. or will result in a $100 fine.

18. If any BCFA rule is abused or intentionally disregarded, it is grounds for disqualification of the exhibitor and/or exhibitors.
