Howdy, Burleson County!
My name is Dakota Kienow, and I am the 16-year-old proud daughter of Robert and Amy Mercer of Snook. My parents have instilled in me a profound love for our community, and I am incredibly grateful for the values they have passed down. As I prepare to enter my junior year at Snook High School this fall, I have dedicated myself to both academics and extracurricular activities, ranking 6th in my class. I am committed to excelling in everything I undertake. I actively participate in various clubs and organizations at Snook, currently serving as President of the Snook 4-H Club and a member of the Snook FFA Chapter. Additionally, I hold the position of Vice President in the Lodge 9 Snook SPJST Youth Club. My involvement extends to community service, leadership activities, and being part of the Snook BYF Church Youth group. I am also a member of the Snook LadyJays Varsity Volleyball, Basketball, and Track teams, where I have had the honor of being named the Overall MVP for the 2024-2025 school year. Furthermore, I am a proud member of the Snook National Honor Society, Snook Student Council, and Snook Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After high school, I plan to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, with aspirations to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. My goal is to one day be a physical therapist for athletes.
I am truly honored to represent the Snook 4-H Club and Snook FFA Chapter as a candidate for the 2025-2026 Burleson County Fair Queen. My roots in agriculture run deep; I began my journey with the Burleson County Fair in the 3rd grade, showcasing Poultry, Rabbits, Ag Mechanics, and Commercial Heifers. I've also participated in the Creative Living and Baked Foods departments and ran for Burleson County Little Miss where I received 2nd runner-up when I was four years old. Over the past eight years, I have learned the invaluable lessons of hard work, responsibility, and dedication through these experiences, which I consider my greatest accomplishment.
I am thrilled about the opportunity to represent our wonderful county as the 2025-2026
Burleson County Fair Queen. This role would allow me to combine my commitment to our
community with my passion for service and leadership. I am excited to have the chance to serve our county as a candidate for the BCFA Fair Queen!
