Alexis Macik - 2022 Queen Candidate

Alexis Macik is the 16-year-old daughter of Kirk and Sharyle Macik. Lexi is a junior at Snook High School where she is involved in Snook FFA, National Honor Society, President of the Class of 2024, and Student Council. Lexi is also very involved in school athletics. She plays volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and cheer. She was recently honored by being named the Female Athlete of the Year.

Lexi is involved in several community organizations including Snook 4-H, SPJST, Burleson County 4-H Exchange, and 4-H County Council. Her involvement in FFA and 4-H has given her many opportunities to learn and grow. Lexi exhibits rabbits at the Burleson County Livestock Show. A special memory is when she won Grand Champion for her pen of rabbits. Lexi has also exhibited poultry for the last five years at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This year she was honored to place 7th in cockerels. Lexi has held leadership roles on the 4-H County Council, Snook FFA, Snook 4-H, and Burleson County 4-H Exchange.

In addition to her school and community involvement, Lexi is also a very dedicated student. Lexi is currently ranked first in her class. In addition to taking Honors and Advanced classes, she has also taken many Blinn College Courses. Upon high school graduation, Lexi will have enough college credits to enter college as a sophomore.

As Lexi has grown in her involvement in FFA and 4-H, her love for animals and the agricultural industry has grown. Lexi plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in animal science. Upon completion of her bachelor's degree, she would like to continue her education and attend veterinary school.

Lexi is excited to have been given the opportunity to represent Burleson County in a Fair Queen Contest!
